An adventure of a lifetime comes only every once and a while. This was by far one of my best and most favorite trips that I have had the pleasure to enjoy. There were so many parts of the trip that made it so great! I am super excited to get to share my favorites, tips and tricks, and of course beautiful pictures for you to put to use and visit the lushes Caribbean island of Antigua. The trip was for four days. Though short, it was action packed and left you wanting more (which in my opinion is better). For a little background, this whole trip was spent on a sail boat/yacht. This allowed more access to exploring the island itself. We were able to sail around the island, and move to a different section every day. The whole experience of sailing is new to me, though at first was a little rough, I began to enjoy it. I am just going to put this right out there, that if you can not handle a roller coaster, sailing is not the option for you. I am not saying you can not handle a cruse or yacht, just simply not sailing. Something that I found helpful, was this bracelet that you wear called a “Sea Band”. It is no medicine or chemicals or anything like that. It is simply a bracelet that you wear the pushes on a pressure point to make you feel more balanced and not get sea sick. These can be purchased on amazon. Lots of people (including myself) find them to work/be helpful for more than just sea sickness. I find them useful for the plan and car, as I have been one to get motion sickness. In addition to the the sailing, I had the privilege to go snorkeling in multiple spots. These included a ship wreck, rocky areas, and along the beach. The ship wreck was by far my favorite. The ship had wrecked because of a fire and had been sitting there since 1905. So for over one hundred years plants have been growing and fish have made it home (and no, I did not encounter any sharks). Overall the trip was an amazing experience and I am so happy to be able to bring back multiple tips: Things to Do:
